Sickness...

Yesterday I was so sick. I felt AWFUL all morning and most of the afternoon. I was at my friend melissas so she could do my hair and we didn't get to far only part of what I went to have done was done before I start throwing up. I told her I couldn't do anymore and came home and laid on the couch all day. I got sick once more after that.

Then today I have been great. I didn't feel good right around supper time, but I ate a little and then a little bit later I felt much better.

This seems to be how its been the past couple weeks, one day I am good one day Im a mess. And sometimes it will go on and off during the day. I will feel good then the next minute I feel like I could loose everything.

I am praying God will give me many more days like today even if I have the hour or two that I dind't feel good, just no getting sick and no feeling crappy all day long.

Another beta today....

We just got our beta number back for today 26dp5dt 94,473 I have never had one this far into it so I am guessing thats great. The nurse seemed to think so. :-) I have one more next week and then thats it for the betas and then I still go every week for a progesterone until Sept 20th. Although I will already be in the care of my OB by then??!!!

I have never had a clinic do so many betas or progesterone drawls. It seems a little obsessive to me but whatever.

The nurse told kristina she thinks that there are two all snuggled up for the winter!! I'm hoping and praying thats all it is.

12 days and counting until our u/s. We can't wait!! Kristina and family are on their way up the east coast I can't remember for sure where they are getting on at but they are going on a 9 day cruise starting tomorrow. They have traveled by car and train from California via New Orleans then to Orlando for a few days and now on their way to I THINK Boston area or something like that. I can't remember where she said. They will be stopping here on their way home to California when we have the u/s. We are all so excited!! My mom will be here too, she comes in the same day the do (she lives in FL).

Kristopher plays in a baseball tournament that day (the 8th) at 11 its his Middle School team. It should be their first game. Unless they play on the 4th. Not sure about that. So it will be a great week. We are having a bunch of friends over to have a cook out the night of the 7th when Kristina and Pierre and Gabrielle come into town. Everyone is excited to meet them.

I went shopping today and got a few maternity clothes :-) My first stuff this pregnancy. My pants are already seeming a little tight. I was told the more pregnancies you have the sooner you show. I am hoping I can wear this stuff through at least the end of September. Its some of their summer stuff they had on sale. I will need stuff for church so its a pair of black pants and a cute sleeveless shirt and then a pair of Khakies and a sleevless shirt! Then a few just comfy pants and plain shirts. See below!

Update as of today

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile!! I have been totally exhausted lately. I had been staying up until 2am now I am lucky to make it to 9 or 9:30. I just can't keep my eyes open. I don't remember things kicking in this early before. My stomach has been a mess off and on. Sometimes I will feel fine, and others I am doing my deep breathing to keep everything down where it needs to be. This is about the time the nausea kicked in with the twins I carried. But I don't remember being this sleepy. But that was three years ago, and I can't remember what I did yesterday.

Our first beta that we had was 22 that was 5dp5dt well our next one was 10dp5dt and that one had JUMPED to 403 we were SHOCKED I thought for SURE it was only one with the 22 on day 5 we were expecting it to come back around 132. So when the nurse called I almost fell out of my chair as my husband screamed I TOLD YOU!!! :-) He was convienced I would have multiples. You will see his opinion of how many below after we received the latest numbers. So on day 12dp5dt it went up to 760 which wasn't a crazy jump considering they had multiplied every 26 hours with those first two numbers and now it was every 56 or something like that. WELL then read on to see what our next numbers were last week!!!

Our next set of beta numbers came back thursday last week. I am going every week on Thursdays for another beta and progesterone done. Well if you remember my beta the week before on 12dp5dt was 760 so if they had doubled like they "say" they should every 48 hours then on FRIDAY it should have been 11,000 give or take a few. SO on THURSDAY the day before they should have been 11,000 they were 16,111!!!!!! My husband keeps saying its triplets and so do a few others. I like to think ONE VERY HEALTHY HALF GROWN BABY!! :-) Oh course realistically I know its twins. They swear trips but the chances of one splitting are so slim, I try not to think that way. I just can't make myself think its more than twins. The twins were SO hard for me to carry. I can't imagine if it were more than that. I am 5'4 and 115pds. No itty bitty but a small torso. The twins were 7lbs a piece and 19 inches. I carried them to 38 weeks and then they were evicted by my OB with pitocin. They would still be in there if he hadn't taken them!! :-)

We have our U/S on August 8th. Kristina and Pierre want to be here for it and thats when it worked out with their vacation and traveling schedule. So we are waiting a little longer than normal to have our first u/s. Usually with IVF we would be getting it this week 6 + weeks. I am 6 weeks today. Thats one thing that stinks about IVF is that you know SO early on that you are pregnant an the pregnancy takes FOREVER !!! Anybody out there know what I mean??? I love being pregnant and eating whatever I want and not caring but man that 40 weeks seems to never come!! The joy of surrogacy is seeing the baby/ies in mommy and daddys arms, thats the whole reason any Surrogate does this and that reward is more than anyone could ever imagine. Its the most beautiful site you will ever seen, and you want that so bad it makes the time go by even slower!!

Well nothing else to exciting going on around here. Kristopher is at his dads for the week so I am pretty bored these day. I am blessed though I do get to lay around allot since I am not working during the summer. Come time to go back to work its going to be rough having to get back on a schedule!! :-) Can anyone push school back a few months this year??? :-)

Beta tomorrow

Well Kristina got the flowers the other night and called me as she was walking up to the house because when she pulled in she saw them. She was screaming and so excited. She couldn't believe it. We called Pierre to tell him and he didn't answer so she left him a message that a pipe had busted and she needed him to call her ASAP. So when he called she said I am here with the plumber let me call you right back. So we did and when he answered, I told him that he was going to have a special delivery in about 9 months. :-) He of course was THRILLED you could see his smile through the phone.

We have talked of course everyday since and are anxiously waiting for our beta number tomorrow to see how much it has doubled since Thursdays 22. We are thinking it should be around 132. Although my last pregnancy my beta numbers were always low and she ended up being a beautiful healthy baby. She will be 2 in November. So i won't be worried if its not that high yet. Doesn't do any good to worry about something that you can't do anything about right? I have no doubts, everything will be just fine!!

Kristina and Pierre will be on vacation in the next month or so and are hoping to stop by here on their way home in August. We are HOPING i have a drs appt that week, but not sure yet. It will depend on when the RE wants my first U/S. I have a feeling it will be before they get here, but thats just going on my last two pregnancies, every clinic is different. So we shall see.

I will be on and post my numbers as soon as I can tomorrow!!

Meet and 2ww....

I have begun this blog to journal my journey through another Surrogacy. This will most likely be my last journey. So I wanted to be sure to journal this one as I did the other two. I met Kristina and Pierre back in June of 2006, well I met Kristina I should say and she told me all about Pierre. They were in a journey with another GS, Kristina and I became friends, she would ask me questions and talk to me about a GS's point of view etc.... Their journey with their GS ended after two failed cycles, and they mutually decided not to move on again. This was in September of 06. Kristina asked if I would consider being a GS for her. I hadn't wanted to do another journey right now, but I told her I would think about it and talk to my husband, son, and my FIM because I had told her I was done after I had her little girl Ella in Nov of 05. I would only do it again for them. I was nervous about talking to her but she was fine with it and gave me her blessing. As did my Husband and Son.

So Kristina and I started in on the contracts etc... They had allot of decisions to make. One thing after another happend and everything kept getting pushed back and back, but FINALLY June 30, 2007 was the big day!!

So now we are in the dreaded 2ww. Its dreadful for sure. I don't know why I test so early I know its never going to be + that early. Although we did do a 5dt so I will get a + earlier than a 3dt!!Did I say I will or I did???????????????????????? :-) I FINALLY (LOL) got a + today at 7am. I woke up several times having to pee last night but wanted to hold it till I couldn't anymore, so finally 7am I got up and peed. I didn't see anything at first, but then after about 2 or 3 min, I could see a faint line. I decided to get dressed and go to Walmart to get a digital so I could see the PG or not. I picked up CBE digitals and Answer. I came home and held my pee till about 10:30 or so it was a LONG wait waiting for those tests to show up, which was actually only a minute or two but seemed forever. ( I took an answer and a CBE at the same time) the both came up a resounding BFP!!!! I was oooozzzing with joy!!I called my PCP and asked for a beta to be drawn. So after a long wait I finally got the resluts and our number today is 22 which is right on track with what it should be at this early stage.

Ok so this whole time this morning after I did the first test and between the others my IM has been emailing me, I have wanted to tell her so bad, but I have it all set up how it will be done and its way more special then me just saying hey your pregnant. :-) While we were there last week Cotton (my dh) and I went and searched high and low for a special florist. We finally found one and told them our story and what we wanted to do... which was pick something out special, and write out the card myself and then when the time came call and have them delivered. They were THRILLED to help out and so excited. The card says: Dear Mommy, Daddy and Gabrielle, I am having so much fun up here, its just beautiful. But I miss you so much. I know you miss me too so I have HAND PICKED A VERY SPECIAL angel just for you. Your angel should be there in about 9 months. I love you and miss you very much Abigail (give or take a few words) (Abigail is their daughter that passed in Dec 05 after 16 days of life) The florist was so excited when I called today. She was so sweet too, I asked her to just deliver them with their last deliveries at 3 or 3:30 as they told me last week thats when they last went out. I told her they would not be home from work yet and just to place them at their front gate. She said that it was really hot today and that they would deliver them on their way home from work so that the flowers didn't wilt!! AND she is going to call me when they leave the shop so that I can be sure to call Kristina and be on the phone when they get there. :-) Isn't that just so sweet!!!

Of course with the 2 hour time difference its going to be 7pm here and I have known since 7am that is a LONG time for me to hold in a secret!! LOL So thats whats happend so far in our journey!! I look forward to posting more through the next 10 months or so!!
